Health and care professionals working at the four Ambulance Services Trusts, that make up the Northern Ambulance Alliance (NAA), are set to benefit from the rollout of Intelligent Automation (IA), thanks to a new partnership between NAA, Blueprism, the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, and e18 Consulting.
This partnership will see the NAA working with these partners to implement Intelligent Automation (a software technology that uses digital workers (robots) to perform high-volume repetitive tasks), across its four Trust sites, freeing up its workforces so they can focus on the tasks that really matter. As the market-leading automation provider within the NHS, Blueprism has deployed its IA solution in over 70 Trusts to date, helping them to generate efficiencies and productivity gains.
The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is a leading NHS innovation hub and a Centre of Excellence for Automation. This experienced team has deployed a host of automations in both clinical and non-clinical settings across the UK and will be supporting NAA’s four Trust sites. They will work with each Trust to identify potential automations before mapping and developing these processes. This will ultimately enable the Trusts to ease operational pressures, whilst simultaneously serving their strategic priorities.
Graham Norton, Digital Transformation Lead for the NAA said: "The four NAA Trusts are pleased to have started their three-year IA journey, with the support from the Royal Free London, e18 and Blueprism. We look forward to continuing this partnership as we roll out capabilities to support ambulance services across the north of England.”
Louise Wall, Managing Director of e18 Consulting, said: “The team at e18 is extremely excited about working with the NAA and its member trusts. This project will showcase the power of collaboration and sharing across the NHS and will enable economies of scale across the four member trusts as they roll out this best-in-class technology.”
