The NAA Staff

The NAA Core Team is responsible for the development and success of the collaborative programme and providing leadership across the projects. The team supports the leads, key staff and work streams from idea into implementation across the NAA Trusts, to:

  • improve the quality and service delivery for all patients in the North of England.
  • maximise opportunities for standardisation across the North of England.
  • reduce the overall costs of the collective budgets of the four services.
Graham Norton

Digital Transformation Lead

Key facts

Graham was appointed as the NAA Digital Transformation Lead in March 2020. Prior to joining the NAA Graham was the Head of the Implementation and Business Change Central Support Team in NHS Digital. Graham joined the NHS in 2017 following a 32 year military career. Graham previously led the Ministry of Defence Medical Information Systems Programme team, served as an ADC to Her Majesty The Queen between 2012 and 2015, and was a Trustee of the Royal Signals Benevolent Fund. Graham's Military service included tours of duty in UK, Germany, USA, Bosnia, and Afghanistan.

Andy Moody

In January 2024 Andy took up a secondment opportunity with the Northern Ambulance Alliance (NAA) as Digital Programme Manager to oversee the NAA’s Digital Portfolio.  However, Andy joined the NHS back in October 2021, with the North West Ambulance Service as Data Quality & Innovation Manager.  His previous experience was working in Business Intelligence Teams within the health care sector where he lead multiple Business Intelligence Transformation Projects specialising in Power BI.

 

Martin Cooper

Key facts

Martin was appointed Project Manager for NAA Process Robotics Automation in June 2022. This is Martin’s first role with the NHS.

From his 20-year career delivering specialised IT services to a diverse range of industries including Oil & Gas, Retail, Insurance and Broking.

Martin brings to the role a wealth of experience and insight into the technology field.

Ryan Oliver

Ryan joined the NHS in August 2008, originally working for an acute hospital as a Clinical Systems Manager where he was tasked with implementing a Theatre IT system to replace their current paper process. Ryan then secured the role of Head of Systems when two acute hospitals merged, where he lead multiple teams that were responsible for the management, maintenance and training of clinical IT systems across acute and community hospitals. In 2021 Ryan then moved to Royal Free London to work as an RPA Developer (Robotic Process Automation Developer). After doing some consultancy type work with the NAA, he decided that he wanted to work full time with the NAA and was appointed to his current RPA Developer role at the end of May 2023.

Lesley Mee

Lesley Mee
Project Support Officer

Key facts

Lesley joined the NAA July 2023 but has been involved in support administration in many forms for most of her working life.  In jobs ranging from Clerk to External Examiners and School Governing Bodies to Monitoring & Support Officer, to a Medical Appointments Secretary in a Nuclear Medicine Department and a Ward Clerk at a Hospice culminating here as the Project Support Manager (secondment) for the NAA.  The aim for this role is to keep information up to date, flowing, and the Teams involved well supported.  Lesley commented “the NAA is proving to be an exciting unit with which to be involved”.
